We’d like to share three new videos about some of the Casa’s recent work. The videos were made by our talented summer volunteer, Molly Stuart. Please watch and share!
Casa de los Amigos Visits Grupo Vicente Guerrero
Here the Casa team visits Vicente Guerrero, a community engaged in sustainable agriculture projects, community-based development, advocacy for the right to water, and protest against genetically modified crops.
“A Dignified Life” National Fair in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato
For five years, members of the Casa de los Amigos team have traveled to the state of Guanajuato each August to help organize at the country’s largest artisan fair dedicated to economies of solidarity. At the fair, we promote the use of the fair’s community currency, which has inspired almost a dozen new currencies around the country.

Our Sharing and Gifting Bartering Festival
The community currency “La Paloma” is born at Casa de los Amigos’ first-ever bartering festival for local producers and artists. Together we created a hopeful and practical mini-economy that didn’t rely on pesos or dollars and is based in human relationships and mutual trust.
